Irish Language Course for Hibernia Applicants
Gaelchultúr is organising an Irish language course for those who will be doing the Irish language interview for the H.Dip. in Arts in Primary Education with Hibernia. The course focuses on the main topics of conversation that arise in the interview and participants are given an opportunity to improve their speaking skills and add to their vocabulary. Participants will also have access for three months to an online course: Irish Language Course for Hibernia Applicants.
Option 1: Students attend a two-hour session in the classroom one night a week for eight weeks, in Gaelchultúr, Temple Bar, Dublin 2. These sessions will be held on Thursday evenings, from 7.00 – 9.00 p.m., on the following dates: 10 May, 17 May, 24 May, 31 May, 7 June, 14 June, 21 June and 28 June 2012.
Option 2: Students attend two classroom sessions that will be held on Saturday, 12 May, and Saturday, 30 June 2012, in Gaelchultúr, Temple Bar, Dublin 2. In addition, they will participate in a live online class one night a week for seven weeks. These sessions will last for one hour. Live online classes will take place on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings, from 7.30 – 8.30 p.m.

Irish Language Evening Classes
Gaelchultúr offers Irish language classes at up to eight levels, three times a year, in various locations around Ireland. Gaelchultúr’s summer programme of evening classes will begin the week commencing 21 May 2012. Classes will be held in Dublin and in Carlow but if you think there'd be demand for classes in your area, contact us on eolas@gaelchultur.com / (01) 484 5220.

Intensive Preparatory Course for the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Primary Teaching) Interview
Gaelchultúr regularly organises intensive preparatory courses for the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Primary Teaching) interviews. The course concentrates on the main topics of conversation that arise in the interview and participants are given an opportunity to improve their speaking skills, add to their vocabulary and participate in a mock interview at the end of the course. The next course will be held on Saturday, 23 June 2012, in Gaelchultúr's headquarters in Temple Bar, Dublin 2.

Listowel Writers' Week 2012
Listowel Writers' Week will be held in Kerry from 30 May to 3 June 2012. This international festival has been running since 1971 and is one of the foremost literature festivals in the country. A celebration of the Irish language – Blas na Gaeilge – will be held on Friday, 1 June, in the Plaza Centre in which poets, writers, artists and musicians will participate.
