T-shirts, fridge magnets and a wider range of greeting cards now available from Gaelchultúr's shop

In 2013 siopa.ie was given a complete overhaul. Prior to that the simple site consisted of around 50 books, which were exclusively related to Gaelchultúr’s projects and courses. Since then over 1,000 products have been added to the site, and the range has been greatly expanded beyond just books. Toys, teaching resources, greeting cards, music and DVDs are all available to purchase on the site, and the service quality and speed of delivery won’t be beaten.

“It has always been an aim of ours to expand the shop,” says Diarmuid Ó Mathúna, Gaelchultúr’s Business Development Manager. “It is important for us, not only to provide a service to our own students, but also to accommodate the greater Irish language community.”

Products sold on siopa.ie are sent all over the world and orders are constantly coming in from Irish language communities in Canada, Australia and the United States of America. Many universities in North America now use Gaeilge gan Stró! – Beginners Level as part of their syllabus.

“We often hear from our customers that they would love to buy more Irish language products but that they find it difficult to come by them. We are delighted, therefore, to be able to create that connection between the producers of these fantastic products and Irish communities in Dublin and all over the world,” says Diarmuid.

T-shirts and fridge magnets were recently added to the list of products that are for sale on siopa.ie, as well as a significantly broader range of greeting cards. It is the company’s aim for the future to supply all Irish language school books through the website and to continue to widen the selection they offer to their customers, particularly schools.

Don’t forget to keep a close eye on siopa.ie for some fantastic deals and for up and coming Irish language products.
