Vacancy: Curriculum Development Manager

Coláiste na hÉireann/Gaelchultúr is looking for a Curriculum Development Manager for a full-time permanent position. The successful applicant will be based in the institute's offices on Clare Street, Dublin 2.

Applicants are required to have a high standard of both written and spoken Irish, and have experience in teaching Irish to adult learners.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience; standard office hours. Training opportunities will be available to the successful candidate.

The Curriculum Development Manager’s main responsibilities will include the following:

  • teaching Irish to learners at various levels of competency
  • teaching on the institute’s Postgraduate Diploma in Translation
  • developing syllabuses for language courses
  • developing lesson plans and teaching resources
  • regularly undertaking proofing and editing work
  • developing e-learning courses and putting them online.

Required qualification and experience
Master’s degree in Irish (level 9 NFQ)
Experience in teaching Irish to adults

Desirable qualification/experience/skills
  • Teaching qualification
  • Experience in developing teaching resources
  • Experience in translation work
  • High-level computer skills
