A few days after President Michael D. Higgins launched Foras na Gaeilge’s new dictionary, Concise English–Irish Dictionary, Gaelchultúr’s Director of Education, Éamonn Ó Dónaill, conducted a live online interview about the project with two members of the dictionary team. This is the first English–Irish dictionary to appear since de Baldraithe’s dictionary was published in 1959 and it contains 1,800 pages, over 30,000 entries, 85,000 units of meaning and 1.8 million words in modern English and Irish.
