Newsletter #50: December 2020

Links of the month

2020 was a tough year for everybody, with many people having lost jobs and many businesses forced to close their doors. Now, more than ever before, it is important that we make an effort to support small companies and help as much as we can. We have put together a list of some amazing Irish businesses that we hope will help anyone wanting to buy Irish language products this year.

Founded in 2007, Hairy Baby is a clothing company that sells t-shirts, jumpers, mugs and umbrellas with a bit of Irish humour. They even do face masks! Check out the site here.

If you need Christmas cards, wrapping paper or notebooks, you’ll have to check out Connect The Dots Design. We love their Irish prints!

Enibas is a jewellery shop that makes beautiful necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings with Irish sayings. The designs are inspired by the Irish language, people, and heritage.

Dear Trudy is an interior design company that sells beautiful home decorations. They have a neon
print series with Irish sayings, and we’re obsessed!

We can’t forget about the men in our lives! A range of underwear with Irish sayings is available here.

Do you know a new homeowner? We think Artsy Avril's Irish language labels would be a lovely present for anyone trying to decorate the home. Artsy Avril’s Etsy shop is available here.

One of the things we love most about this time of year is
getting to wear Christmas jumpers!
There is a wide range of festive ones

available from Spailpín.

Tote bags are really popular these days, and we love this one from Three Little Birds called ‘The Focail Tote’.

We love the cushions that are available on the Nine Arrow website. Wouldn’t they be a great present for someone? You can find prints, t-shirts, mugs

and a lot of other great gifts there too.

We think these plates by Paula Moen are the perfect present for the grandparents! They have lots of different kinds available here.
