Linger: saothar nua damhsa ó Bhreandán de Gallaí

Chaith an Conallach Breandán de Gallaí naoi mbliana ag obair le Riverdance, seacht gcinn acu mar phríomhrinceoir fir, ach anois tá seó damhsa dá chuid féin, Linger, curtha le chéile aige. Ní hamháin gurb é a chum an saothar seo agus gurb é atá á stiúradh, ach beidh sé le feiceáil ar an stáitse fosta, i dteannta Nick O’Connell as Cill Dara. Seo an cur síos atá tugtha ar an saothar:

This immersive theatrical experience will unfold through a rich tapestry of photography, film, music and movement, examining identity, sexuality, masculinity and ageing. The duet is performed by de Gallaí and Nick O’Connell, two Irish dancers at opposite ends of their dancing careers. Linger explores and celebrates this contrast, the mercurial movements of youth being juxtaposed with the more considered gestures of the less young, making us reflect on the passage of time and who we are at various junctures of our lives.

Beidh Linger le feiceáil sa Project Arts Centre i mBaile Átha Cliath idir an 21 agus 23 Eanáir (ticéid €16/€14), sa Firkin Crane i gCorcaigh ar an 29 Eanáir (ticéid €12/€10) agus in Dance Limerick (ticéid €12/€10) ar an 4 Feabhra.
