Gaelchultúr's preparatory course – the best way to avoid mistakes in your Irish interview

There’s a significant difference between “buailim le mo chairde” and “buailim mo chairde”, but if you’re not sure what it is, and if you’ve got an Irish interview coming up soon for the Higher Diploma in Primary Teaching, you’d do well to attend the preparatory course being organised by Gaelchultúr on Saturday, 15 October.

Day-long workshop in sean-nós singing

If you can pluck up the courage to sing outside of the shower, come to Gaelchultúr’s headquarters in Temple Bar on Saturday, 22 October, where Kerry singer Seosaimhín Ní Bheaglaoich will be presenting a day-long workshop in sean-nós singing.

The Irish language literature festival IMRAM begins on Friday, 14 October, and will conclude on Sunday, 22 October. As usual, there are many interesting events on the programme, so choose a few, invite some friends to accompany you, and enjoy the festivities!

150 members of the Police Service of Northern Ireland to be 'Líofa' by 2015

The language scheme Líofa 2015, which was launched in Belfast at the beginning of last month and which aims to create 1,000 new fluent speakers of Irish by the end of 2015, is off to a good start as 150 members of the PSNI have already taken up the challenge!
