At Gaelchultúr, we understand the unique challenges faced by teachers and staff in Gaelscoileanna, Gaelcholáistí and Gaeltacht schools. That’s why we’re proud to partner with An Chomhairle um Oideachas Gaeltachta agus Gaelscolaíochta (COGG) to offer expert-quality upskilling opportunities and Irish language courses designed specifically for educators in T1 schools.
Through this partnership, we provide tailored support to help teachers and other staff enhance their language skills, build confidence and ensure a high standard of Irish within their schools. The following courses are currently available:

General Irish Courses
Gaelchultúr’s 10-week Irish language courses, available at a range of levels, provide teachers in Gaelcholáistí and post-primary Gaeltacht schools with a structured, interactive learning experience to enhance fluency and language skills.

In-School Upskilling Sessions
These sessions help teachers and staff in T1 schools attain grammatical accuracy and linguistic excellence through interactive, school-based training.
General Irish Courses
Our 10-week Irish language courses, available at four levels (A2–C1), run throughout the school year and are designed to help post-primary teachers in Gaelcholáistí and Gaeltacht schools improve their fluency and enrich their language skills.
Course Details:
- Levels: A2 (Beginners 2) – C1 (Advanced 1)
- Duration: 10 weeks
- Format: Weekly 2-hour live online classes
- Resources: Comprehensive digital handbook and 3-months’ access to Ranganna.com, Gaelchultúr’s e-learning platform (worth €45)

In-School Upskilling Sessions
This advanced training workshop is ideal for teachers and school staff who already have a good level of Irish but want to achieve grammatical accuracy and linguistic excellence in a school setting.
