Postgraduate Diploma in Translation

This course is aimed at those who have a good understanding of the Irish language and wish to master written accuracy and translation skills.

Advanced Irish Course 1 (C1)

This online course is aimed at those who have a reasonable fluency in Irish but who have little experience of discussing more challenging topics. Participants have the opportunity to achieve a higher level of accuracy in Irish.

Advanced Irish Course 2 (C2)

This online course is suitable for those who already have a good knowledge of Irish but who wish to discuss a wide range of topics, and to read and write the language on a regular basis. Particular emphasis is placed on enriching language and grammatical accuracy.

Accuracy in Irish 1

This online course is aimed at those who have a very good standard of spoken Irish but whose knowledge of grammar is quite limited. A wide range of activities is used throughout the course, and it is suitable for those who work through the medium of Irish, such as teachers and civil servants.

Accuracy in Irish 2

This course focuses on more complex aspects of grammar than Accuracy in Irish 1. It also includes more challenging classroom activities. People such as translators, journalists and native speakers will benefit from this course.

Certificate in Professional Irish (Advanced Course C1)

This course of the Certificate in Professional Irish is a QQI-accredited part-time programme available at Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). Lower levels are also available. Delivered entirely online, this course is specifically designed for public sector employees who, under the Official Languages Acts 2003 and 2021, are required to provide services through Irish.
